On November 14th, 2025, Stavian Group had the honor of welcoming H.E. Nguyen Thanh Diep – Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates and Jordan, and H.E. Dr. Bader Abdullah Al Matrooshi – Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Vietnam at Stavian Group’s Headquarters, Hanoi. The cooperation between Vietnam and the UAE has achieved many positive results in recent years, especially in economic and trade relations. Bilateral trade reached over USD 6 billion in 2024, demonstrating the significant potential for deeper cooperation between the two nations. The Vietnam – UAE relationship has made important progress in recent years, serving as a foundation to further promote collaboration in the coming period across many priority sectors.

Taking place shortly after the 32th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the UAE (01/8/1980 – 01/8/2025), this visit held great significance for Stavian Group. Hosting the delegation, Mr. David, Nguyen Minh Tu – Vice Chairman of Stavian Group, expressed his honor in welcoming the two Ambassadors. At the meeting, Mr. David, Nguyen Minh Tu introduced an overview of Stavian Group’s scale, capabilities, and ecosystem – a large-scale multinational industrial – technology & trading corporation operating across five core business sectors: Industrial Production, High Technology, Industrial Infrastructure Development, Energy Transition, and Trading & Investment. Stavian Group also shared areas with strong potential for extensive cooperation with the UAE and the Middle East, notably: chemicals & petrochemicals, sulfur, fertilizers, thermal coal, coking coal, industrial materials & metals (steel, copper, aluminum, zinc), energy, and global supply chain development. Stavian Group expressed its desire to receive support from the Ambassadors in connecting with reputable partners in the UAE and the Middle East, as well as guidance and support regarding legal procedures and investment preparation in the region. These are strategic markets in the Group’s global expansion journey.


Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Diep acknowledged and highly appreciated Stavian Group’s remarkable growth, as well as the Group’s strategic and well-structured approach to expanding into the UAE and Middle Eastern markets. In particular, the Ambassador appreciated Stavian Group’s presence in the UAE through the Representative Office in Dubai (plastics sector) and the ongoing establishment of Stavian Industrial Metal in Dubai (metals sector) – evidence of Stavian Group’s long-term commitment.
Ambassador Dr. Bader Abdullah Al Matrooshi emphasized that the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Vietnam and the UAE, signed on October 28th, 2024 in Dubai, has opened up unprecedented cooperation opportunities between the two countries. CEPA also elevated bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Partnership, creating a stable legal framework for enterprises of both countries to strengthen trade and investment cooperation. The Ambassador expressed hope that Stavian Group would fully capitalize on the opportunities opened by the CEPA, and recommended that the Company proactively familiarize itself with the agreement’s commitments as well as business practices in the UAE and the broader Middle East region. The Ambassadors affirmed that they will continue to support connecting Stavian Group with strategic partners in the UAE and the Middle East, contributing to advancing bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and the UAE in this new phase of development.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, setting the stage for promising expectations in Stavian Group’s global development journey. Both sides agreed to continue discussions and jointly implement follow-up actions to realize cooperation opportunities soon, while accompanying the trend of strengthening strategic collaboration between Vietnam and the UAE in the coming period.
